Bronco BEAM

Unity React-Native AR

Overview

Bronco BEAM is a project built for Boise State Admissions that enables prospective students to go on a self-guided campus tour. The application provides augmented reality models of classrooms and buildings anchored in real space on campus, giving users an immersive preview of campus life without needing a guided tour.

Tech Stack

  • Unity — Used to build and render the AR 3D models of campus buildings and classrooms.
  • React-Native — Mobile application framework providing the user-facing tour interface, navigation, and AR camera integration.
  • AR Foundation — Handled spatial anchoring and real-world placement of virtual models on the physical campus.

Role & Contributions

Served as Team Programmer and later Project Lead at GIMMWorks (Boise State University). Led the team through project milestones, interfaced directly with the Boise State Admissions client, and contributed to both the Unity AR experience and the React-Native mobile shell. Managed project timelines and adapted the technical approach as requirements evolved.
